Covid19 Precautions are in place for the Music Ministry until further notice.
At St. Cornelius, we have many different musical groups that parishioners are welcome to join.

ADULT CHOIR
Requirements: Any adult who enjoys singing is welcome to join.
Practice: Wednesdays at 7:00pm excluding summer months and January.
Masses: Alternate between the 5pm Saturday Mass and the 9am Sunday Mass.
We also sing on Christmas Eve and during Holy Week.
YOUNG ADULT CHOIR
Requirements: All students in high school through college are welcome.
Practice: We practice one hour before the Mass we will be singing.
Masses: During the summer, we sing at every 11am Sunday Mass. During the rest of the year, we back up the Youth Choir for a monthly Liturgy
either at 5pm or 9am.
We also sing on Palm Sunday, Easter Sunday, and Christmas Eve.
YOUTH CHOIR
Requirements: All students in grades 4 to 8 are welcome to join.
Practice: We practice on Wednesdays from 5:15 to 5:55 when PREP is in session.
Masses: We sing for occasional parish liturgies, May Procession, Christmas, Palm
Sunday, and Easter.
PRAISE BAND
Requirements: There is a limit to participation due to set up. Vocalists and
instrumentalists are invited to audition.
Practice: Scheduled for occasional Thursday nights at 7pm
Masses: Every 11am Mass from September till Father’s Day.
GLORY BAND
Requirements: There is a limit to participation due to set up. Vocalists and
instrumentalists are invited to audition.
Practice: 4:15pm on Sundays
Masses: Every 5pm Sunday Mass
CANTORS
Requirements: Cantors must be able to read music and sing with a good sense of
pitch and diction. Audition required.
Practice: The music director meets with cantors individually. Preparation is essential. Masses: Cantors are scheduled monthly for weekend Masses and Holy Days.
INSTRUMENTALISTS
Requirements: High school age or older. Audition required.
Practice: Practice depends on the schedule. Music will be provided.
Masses: Mass times will be arranged individually with the music director.
